As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with § 7 (1) ECG. However, as a service provider, we are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity.

Our offer contains links to external third-party websites, the content of which we have no influence over. We cannot accept any liability for this external content. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the content of the linked pages. If we become aware of any legal infringements, we will remove such links immediately.

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it exclusively in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations — in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

GOMOGI — Michael Diener

2. Server Logs & Automatic Data Retention

Our web server automatically records the following information each time you access this website:

  • Requested URL and HTTP method
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL (the page you came from)
  • IP address of the accessing device
  • Date and time of the request
  • HTTP status code and transferred data volume

This data is stored in server log files for a maximum of 14 days and then automatically deleted. It is not combined with other data sources and is used solely for technical operation and security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in ensuring stable and secure operation).

3. Cookies No Tracking Cookies

This website does not use advertising, tracking, or profiling cookies. The only cookies set are strictly functional session cookies required for authenticated features (e.g. staying logged in to the GOLFGIS application). These session cookies:

  • Contain no personal data beyond a temporary session identifier
  • Expire when you close your browser or log out
  • Are never shared with third parties

No cookie consent banner is required for purely functional session cookies under § 96(3) TKG and the GDPR. You can delete cookies at any time via your browser settings.

4. Web Analytics — Umami Privacy-First

We use Umami for website analytics. Umami is an open-source, privacy-focused analytics tool that we self-host on our own infrastructure.

Key privacy properties of Umami:

  • No cookies — Umami does not set any cookies and does not use local storage for tracking.
  • No personal data collected — IP addresses are not stored; they are used only momentarily to derive an anonymised, non-reversible session hash.
  • No cross-site tracking — data stays entirely on our own servers and is never shared with third parties.
  • GDPR-compliant by design — no consent banner is required because no personal data is processed.

The data collected includes: page views, referrer source, browser type, operating system, device type, and approximate country derived from the anonymised IP. This data is used solely to understand how our website is used in aggregate so we can improve it.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding aggregate website usage without processing personal data).

For more information about Umami, visit umami.is/privacy.

5. Google Fonts

This website loads fonts from Google Fonts (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). When a page is displayed, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers. This causes your IP address, browser, and the URL of our website to be transmitted to Google.

Google states that font requests are processed separately from other Google services and that no cookies are set for this purpose. However, as a US-based provider, data may be transferred to the United States. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

To prevent this data transfer, you can install a browser extension that blocks Google Fonts, or disable custom fonts in your browser. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. OpenStreetMap

The GOLFGIS application uses map tiles from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). When a map is displayed, your browser requests tiles from OSM servers, which involves the transmission of your IP address.

OpenStreetMap does not set third-party tracking cookies in this context. For details see wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

7. Your Rights under GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data under the GDPR and the Austrian DSG:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) — obtain confirmation of whether and which of your data we process.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) — have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) — have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
  • Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right not to be subject to automated decision-making (Art. 22 GDPR).

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 8 below. We will respond within 30 days.
